The Understudies Production Company, Inc. is committed to keeping theatre in the community and the community in theatre.
Putting our mission in to play:
The Understudies finds it both an honor and a privilege to give back to the community through its art. Proudly supporting local, non-profit organizations working to make a positive impact in Wilkes, The Understudies provides an opportunity for groups to advance their missions and fund much needed programs, which are vital to our community.

The Understudies Production Company, Inc. proudly presents "Nana's Naughty Knickers" as a benefit production for Wilkes Senior Resources, Inc. whose mission is to promote quality of life and active aging for seniors in Wilkes. The Understudies will donate a portion of proceeds from each performance of "Nana's Naughty Knickers" to Wilkes Senior Resources so they may continue to provide programs vital to the population they serve.

About the show:
Summary
Bridget and her grandmother are about to become roommates. However, what Bridget saw as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite nana in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget. It seems her sweet grandma is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her nana get arrested – or worse – evicted?
