Our Mission:
The Understudies finds it both an honor and a privilege to give back to the community through its art. Linking arms with other non-profit and civic groups, The Understudies shares theatre with the community both on and off stage to make a positive impact in Wilkes.
Its World Theatre Day Festival is open to the public and offers free performances, workshops and other family-friendly activities!
Upcoming Productions & Events
Audition Announcement
Auditions for "The House At Pooh Corner" will be held at The Copper Daisy on Friday, April17 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m.
The Copper Daisy is located at 209 Tenth St. in Downtown North Wilkesboro next door to Wilkes County Public Library.
It is not necessary to attend both audition sessions, but participants may do so if they choose.
Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script.
All ages are welcome to audition. Principle roles are best suited for ages 12 years old through adult with a few roles suitable for younger ages. All those auditioning will be considered for any role desired. Anyone interested in assisting with tech, set construction, props, etc. also is encouraged to attend an audition session.
The director for this production is Victoria Brown.
Show dates for this production will be June 25 - 28.
All shows will be performed at the Mayes Pit/Cohn Auditorium on the campus of Wilkes Community College.
